SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
• Building full-stack products from scratch, a public and private sector healthcare platform for the government and private clinics, busi-
ness solutions, and real-time communication systems. TypeScript, Python, React, Nextjs, Flutter, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, owning
everything from event-driven architecture to deployment.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
• Architected the migration of the Orange Power codebase from JavaScript to TypeScript, establishing type safety across multiple
servers and significantly reducing runtime errors; migrated the React Admin dashboard to Vite for considerably faster initial page
loads and deployments.
• Engineered an event-driven microservices architecture for inverters, enabling real-time monitoring and control of more than 1,000
energy storage installations across domestic and commercial deployments.
• Implemented grid-support algorithms that coordinated battery charge and discharge during grid events to meet demand, contribut-
ing to UK grid stability and generating demand-response revenue.
• Designed a unified OAuth 2.0 onboarding flow for commercial and domestic users.
• Integrated with a range of UK energy-sector systems and services, including the national grid (NESO), Elexon, STOR, SFFR, and DFS,
using protocols spanning MQTT, FTP, SOAP, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
• Streamlined development and deployment of our serverless, event-driven architecture by implementing infrastructure-as-code with
AWS SAM, improving CI/CD flow and cutting new-feature setup time to seconds.

• Architected the entire platform from inception, designing a scalable event-driven architecture using MQTT, SQS, SNS, and Python-
based AWS Lambdas.
• Established fully automated CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Docker for containerized applications, including automated
testing and deployments to AWS ECS and EC2, cutting deployment time and errors to minutes.
• Unified API interactions across our cross-platform app, using single endpoints to control various IoT devices with differing authenti-
cation schemes (OAuth 1.0/2.0, Digest Authentication) and callback URLs; integrated with documented and undocumented APIs for
Tesla vehicles, Tesla Powerwall, BMW, TP-Link, Honeywell, myenergi, Nibe, and AlphaESS.
• Collaborated directly with the UK National Grid, implementing demand-response capabilities for grid events at peak demand.
• Architected the database strategy for time-series data used in analysis, rewards, and forecasting.
• Contributed to developing a cross-platform mobile application in Flutter, serving thousands of users managing multiple connected
devices.
• Led the engineering team, establishing coordinated workflows, code-review practices, and coding standards.
